Joker-Six Flags Great Adventure Review

Last summer I was able to experience the Joker at Six Flags Great Adventure. This was my first ever S&S 4D Freespin and my first ever 4D coaster in general so I really wasn’t sure what to expect out of this ride. Let me just say that this ride is purely fun!

The ride is 120 feet tall, but has a maximum drop of only 54 feet and a top speed of 38 mph. The track length is 1,019 feet which results in a short ride time of slightly under one minute. However, don’t let the stats deceive you about this ride. From the second you leave the lift hill it’s full of different forces and features an out of control feeling. I felt that it had the perfect amount of inversions so that it wasn’t too disorienting for people who get sick easily, but also had enough keep the intensity up for thrill seekers.

I can’t wait to get back and ride the Joker again because you can get a different ride experience every time you ride depending on weight distribution and other factors. All-in-all this is an addition that I had my doubts about when it was announced by Great Adventure, but after riding it, I can honestly say that it’s a great fit for the park and compliments their coaster lineup perfectly!

2017 Dollywood Trip Report and Review
